World Pharmacists Day 2021
World Pharmacists Day is celebrated globally on 25th September and this year’s theme is: “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health”.
Today, we celebrate our pharmacists alongside other colleagues all over the world.
Trust is a fundamental part of all human relationships and it is also vital to health care. We understand that there is a notable association between trust in healthcare professionals and patient outcomes.
Patients report greater satisfaction with treatment, show more beneficial health behaviours and experience improved quality and quantity of life when they have higher trust in their healthcare providers.
Pharmacists give advice(s) based on the best scientific evidence with a view of having informed patients and making them own their health care process, and this remains our practice here in The Good Shepherd Specialist Hospital.

For every patient that walks into our pharmacy, our pharmacists ensure that they receive the right medicine in the right dose and in the most suitable formulation.
Our pharmacists work with other healthcare professionals to ensure that every individual receives optimal treatment. Moreover, as one of the most accessible health care professionals globally, they also use their knowledge and skills to protect health and prevent illness.
They have consistently demonstrated their skills and care by showing genuine interest in our patients. They have undertaken lifelong learning and training to become specialised, ensuring we continue to render top-notch pharmaceutical services to our patients, making sure high quality, affordable medicines are available and they are used effectively.
Once more, we greatly thank our pharmacists for their consistent diligence and efficiency as we celebrate World Pharmacists day.
